An instillation view of artwork in a gallery. There is a small white shelf that has two artificial plants on the left side, and next to that are three small cyanotype prints on paper in portrait orientation. The prints are of what appear to be plants and have hand written titles and signatures on them. The prints are unframed. There is a small placard to the right and slightly underneath the shelf with the artists name and title, it reads: Todd Dobbs, Fake Plants, Real Prints, 2024. AI Generated Synthetic Images, Handmade Cyanotype Prints.

About the Studio

This website is dedicated to my pursuit of conceptual projects using analog and digital methods, and exploring the intersections they create. I use a variety of methods to capture images and print them, including digital cameras, pinhole cameras that use film (self-built and machine-made), toy cameras, pigment ink printing, alternative process printing, illustration (both digital and by hand), and artificial intelligence. I don’t define my work using a specific subject, process, or visual style, but rather by a spirit of imagination, exploration, experimentation, and open-mindedness.
